Surry County Released Mugshot Meaning
A mugshot is an identifying photograph made or retained in connection with an arrest, booking, commitment, or correctional event. Its meaning is narrow. It can help distinguish two people with similar names and connect an image to one booking number. The photo alone says nothing reliable about guilt, disposition, whether bond was posted, why custody ended, or whether the person later entered another agency's custody.

Surry Sheriff App Photo Limits

If a later app version shows a booking image, note the app version, access date, agency label, and booking facts.
